Motor mounts on block
Hey fellows I've got a 73 f100 with a 460 i was able to find the factory frame perches and mounts in a salvage yard. About 2 months ago i removed the engine to redo it and have finished but have proceeded to lose the steal mounts that go on the block. I was wondering if these were specific to ford truck 460 or will any other ones work on the block like a car or something any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Chuck

that looks like a small block chevy!
the ones I have look just like the mounts for a 360/390, except instead of having one bolt to bolt it to the frame perches, it has 2, on above the other......I think that picture above is completely wrong!

and I've got another motor, just a motor that I have no clue where it came from, but it's has the same mounts....but I think that one is 80's

Ford didn't put 460's in 78 4x4's
Only 4x2's
4x4's didn't get 460's until 1983.
You need the L & L brackets.
Here is the OEM set-up for 4x2's again.

Hey guys and gals thanx for the quick responce does anyone have any idea were i might find some of the support brackets for the block new or used. Really dont want to buy new kits from L+L or somebody like that. Guess i'll go looking in the salvage yards again these arent easy to find in my area.
