yea, and a D44 you can keep the coils, and it will just all be much easier, just make sure you grab the panhard bar, and 2 steering links. that would most likely work fine, but I have to ask, have you ever broken an axle shaft in your TTb D44 yet?
I've broke pinion shafts, and axleshafts on the D44, and D60 rear ends don't hold up either......all it takes a 36's too....I would go w/ a dana 70 front or something if you wanna spend the time to get rid of what you already have, then you would never have to worry about it!
You can keep the coils with a D60 too, you just have to modify the axle to accept the radius arms.
But hey I run a wimpy D44 with a spool and stock axles took me 3 yrs to break one then I broke both in one night. go figure. And that was with stock factory axles, guess that means I need to build a bigger motor
I had a stock setup, lifted 3", runnin' 36" TSL's....broke em' after like 3 months of havin' it together......I would love to run that axle under a small ranger body, w/ a 347, 5/sp, NP205 though
it's that easy to put those triangle things on a D60 huh?.....cool....I couldn't even get my radius arms off my axle!.....those bolts must take some convincing to get off......I stopped when I thought I was going to break the bolt....I had the panhard bar on the end of my 1/2" drive ratchet.....BTW, the panhard bar works great as a cheater bar!, snapped all my bumper bolts off, w/ only resting the weight of my arm on it pretty much!....lol
