95 F350 Rear Axle?

What axle would be in a 95 F350 SRW 2WD truck. Also, would it be a desirable axle to swap into my 79 F150 when I swap my 460 into it? (still on the hunt for the front D60)

Sterling 10.25"! very desirable! i have been running one in my bronco with 39 iroks and have yet to break it! kubota has been running one in his rig with a very healthy 460 and 44 tsl's!

The last year for a Dana 60 in a Ford truck was 1984. It was Sterling axles from then on.

I have one over in VA that I can make you a deal on. I was going to swap it into my F150, but have gone another route and will be building another rig and leaving that truck the way it is. My Sterling is from an 89 f-250, with 4.10 ratio. Send me a pm if you are interested, if not ebay it goes....

I don't think that'll work, I'm in New Brunswick, Canada. Unless its free, the shipping costs will kill me. Thanks for the offer.

Duh.... I re-read your original post. If you have access to the 95 F-350 rear locally, go for that. It is the same as what I have and you are right shipping cost on this heavy rear will be nuts.

sterling 10.25's are a dime a dozen. dana 60's are the hard to get ones. your best bet is to buy a non running f-350 4x4 and take the axles off. it will probably be cheaper to go that route and rebuild the axles then getting them separately and maybe having to rebuild them.

Fat chance of that happening around here. They are rare around here, and the ones that are here, the owners know what they're worth, so the prices are through the roof

Yes it does, I was originally going to put it into my 95 F-150 and keep the speedo working, but I am going another route and leaving the 8.8 in it for now. I live down in VA, so if you want to look it over let me know as I need to get rid of it fairly soon...

its a 10.25 and it will bolt in that truck...if your not lifting it you will have to shorten the driveshaft...

oh yea, you better not weld the spiders because these axles have been known to pop shafts on interstate on ramps
