I need some help from the experts here. I'm looking for the correct factory colors for my '53 F100's 215-6 engine compartment. Specifically, block, valve covers, inner fenders, air cleaner/oil filter, fan, timing cover, water pump. Assuming the cleaner/filters are black. I can't tell whether the inner fenders were silver or black. The block is a very light green and my valve cover is a darker green, but I need more specific info on the greens if possible. The intake manifold appears to match the block. Any advice would be much appreciated!
I'm certainly no expert, and don't want to argue, but I don't think mine came that way. In the teardown, there's pretty good evidence it hasn't been messed with much, and the block is a lighter, almost turquoise color. (Not as light as the "seafoam green" that the truck was originally painted, but pale.) In places that have been covered with grease for 50 years, it's pretty intact. The valve cover is darker, more what I'd call "Ford Green". Anybody got any pics of a virgin compartment? (Doubtful, I know...)
