Tenn01 mine has almost the same date as yours .. Sep 15 2000 .. I prob have the PMR rods .. but i'm gonna look anyway

I will have to check next week, I am flying out to play in Vegas.
edit: The date on my Engine is Sept. 1, 2000 so it looks like It would be some good information if I found out.

Take a random bolt larger than 5/16" and grind/file four flat sides on it until it fits, and then use a wrench. Free tools, whats better?

Where was your engine built Alan? I think it may have had to do with when they exhausted their forged unit supply before they switched.

Also, supposedly they switched to PMR's, ran out and switched back to forged for a while, then switched back to PMR's before 01

You need to rotate the engine until a rod bolt is visible.
