1948 F2 wheels and tires
My '48 F2 which is undergoing a stock rebuild has 17" rims with 6.50X17 tires. The owner's manual says the F2 has 16" rims with 7.00 tires. Anyone know if the 17" rims could be original even though the manual says otherwise? I have 4 rims on the truck, plus the spare, so I doubt if they were changed along the way.
I need tires and was thinking of changing to 16" rims because the tires are more readily available. Comments?

The F-2's were supposed to have 16 inch tires on them. Someone switched them somewhere along the line. If you're looking for 16 inch tires and rims,I have 4 new 7.50x16 Firestone Bias ply tires with new tubes and flaps, also 4 nice rims, ready to put on a truck. All I want is $225.00 for the 4 and shipping. E-mail me off site at CLUSSY38(No Email Addresses In Posts!) and I can send a pic to you.I'm located in Connecticut.
