My '97 f250 has the stock 16" rims on it . My son wants to replace them with 17" rims and 33" tires . the 265/75/ 16" tires measure 31" tall with a 8" tread width . He is doing a 2" body lift to level the truck up .
Will a 33" tire go on it without rubbing when turning ? My son says we need a rim with a 12mm offset to keep from rubbing . Any knowledgeable tire guys out there ? I'd hate to buy tires and rims and they don't work . Thanks Tom

No need to buy different rims
285/75/16 are 33" tall and will go right on. Also you do NOT need a body lift to put them on. You MAY need to trim or shim the bumper but you will not know until you put the tires on
Here is a bone stock F250 and 285s on stock wheels
