I can't ssem to find the problem with my 2000 Expy, 4.6L v8. I'm getting a error code of PO400, which indicates "Insufficient air flow - EGR valve". I've replaced the EGR, I've replaced the DPFE sensor, I've cleaned the Trottle Body, I've cleaned the EGR pipe. Any ideas?
Engine at idle. Disconnect the vacuum line at the EGR valve. Using a short length of hose, connect it to the EGR valve and suck on it. A properly operating valve with clear ports will cause the engine to stumble or die. If it doesn't, remove the throttle body and clean the gummed out carbon from the ports.
EGR valves seldom fail.
