so far good,filling all them unused hole's. i saw in a old thread on here that useing a flat piece of copper for a backing will help, cover up back of hole and fill in the front. it work's.

Glad to hear that its going along pretty good for you. Yea, the copper is a great trick. I have several pieces of copper pipe that I've smashed the ends down on as well as about a 6" chunk of 3/16 x 2 copper flat bar that I use.

Thats a great welder, I have a hobart 175 and really like it, Mine has the steel wheels and said miller on the gun and throughout the instruction manual I beleive the only diffrence between the miller and hobart is the infineate settings, which to me is no problem. Try the setting 2 and 40 mine just loves that for around 1/8 stuff (with .35 wire)

My Hobart 140 got a workout this weekend as I rebuilt the lower rear door hinge pocket and inner support. See my gallery for details. I prefer ESAB EZ Grind wire in .025 for most of my body welding.
