hi, i have a 91 ford f-25 with a 5.8 351 windsor. 132,000 miles.
my check engine light has been coming on so i ran an engine diagnstic and the code that comes up is "EVP circuit has intermittently failed below minimum voltage of 0.24 volts."
EVP means EGR(Exhaust gas recurculation) Valve Position . It is a sensor located on top of the EGR valve, has a wiring connector and tells the computer the position if the pintle inside the EGR valve. The EGR valve over the years can get carboned up and stick. Remove it and clean with carb or throttle body spray. Make sure the vacuum line ( green in colour-I think) is still connected to the EGR valve. If you are getting a code for EVR (Egr Valve Regulator)that would be for the regulator which I think griss3000 is talking about. There is 3 parts to the system, 1 EGR valve,1 EVP (valve position sensor) and 1 EVR( valve regulator) which is controlled by the computer to apply vacuum to the EGR valve making it open and close at the correct time. Hope this helps .My truck is an 88 5.0 but things I think are the same.

A DPFE (differential pressure feedback) sensor was only used on later trucks (maybe even OBD-II only), which is why you were likely battling the parts store. Later trucks used a DPFE sensor to determine actual EGR flow instead of blindly measuring the valve position.
