Power window
My passenger power window on my Bronco jumps when going up and never closes al the way without help, seems to go down fine, is it the window motors gear shot? would like to know before tearing it apart. Thanks

my 92 is doing the same except it wont roll up at all (without assistance). I'm leaning toward the same solution as you are but checking the forum just to be certain! Like you said...gear might be missing a tooth/teeth.

I'd be willing to bet that the little cylindrical spacers in the main gear are shot, really easy to repair, I made some new ones out of a wooden dowel rod. You'll need to pull the window motor no matter what, I'd pull it and find out whats wrong before you spend big bucks on a new window motor that you don't really need.

i pulled my motor, replaced the bushings and gear, now the motor doesn't actuate. that's after i reinstalled it! what the @#%* happened to the motor between pulling it replacing the bushings and reinstalling it? not to mention that my window is stuck half way down! now i have to remove the motor, pull the window up, reinstall it, wait until monday, buy a new motor, just to do it all over again! Gotta love it!
