I belive that the conseption that diesel engines are supposed to run all day and leave running came from older engines injection systems and has carried over all these years. that is just a theory I have. However I work with a few guys with 6.0's and the ones that work the crap out of theirs do not seem to have the turbo probles that the grocery getters do.

6.0 motors
hi all, first post. I am a paid fireman, we have ambulances also. we had a 2005 450 rig with the 6.0 and nothing but trouble. keep blowing turbo hoses, even had to repalce engine once. all at fords costs. got so bad we stopped using it and made bidder of new ambulance take it in trade. we got a GMC 4500. nice rig. i am looking into getting a new 450 ford for myself.
