cold temp wastegate noise?
i have a 2001 f350 7.3, when the outside temp starts to cool down my truck start making a noise at certain rpm's. It sounds to me like a waste gate valve dumping pressure but i am not sure. it will quit if you apply more gas or let out completly. Can anyone help me with this issue? the truck also idles hi in cold temps but comes back down when you tap the brake. is this normal? thank you all for any help you can give.

So while I'm driving at certian rpms it makes the noise and seems to have less power until you hit the go pedal a little. Is this what your talking about? It's normal while i'm driving? It only happens when it's cold out. Thanks
