Timimg Chain Guide
I've done a lot of searches but can't find the date Ford finally fixed the problem with the timing chain guides and followers on the Explorer SOHC engine, when they started making guides and followers out of nylon instead of plastic.
My wife is seriously considering an Explorer in the 2004-2005 range and it's got me worried a bit.

Maybe up North but not down here, I already have a bad reputation with my local stealership, they see me coming and they all go on a coffee break, this is why I joined FTE and love it.
