Timing chain guides

Did Ford ever resolve the timing chain guide issues with the 4.0 V6? If so, after what year?

Thanks

2003 was when it was totally fixed; the "main chain" (I think Ford calls it the Jackshaft chain) tensioner has had a TSB out on it, my '02 had an issue with it. Fortunately it's a cheap fix. The older ones had problems with the camshaft chains, and if it was the rear one, it was very expensive (have to pull the engine) to fix. Fixed the primary tensioner on mine, it's quiet, have over 100,000 miles on it now.

Call your favorite local shops and get quotes.

Those three posters haven’t posted since 2012, 2019 and 2008, respectively. So, they won’t have current prices for you, anyway.
