Im debating on what chip i want to get. I currently have a 97 1 ton 7.3 straight piped, home maid intake, Autometer gauges, and 1705 Superchip Programer. Im not as satisfied as I want to be with the Programer. I know on this forum that Tony wildman pretty much has it but I want more input. I have stock tranny and injectors. I want all I can get out of those stock injectors with out messing something up. I want smoke and power!!! And would a stackable chip be perfered? What do yall think of TST? Please help.......truck needs help!!!!
Thanks! What do yal think about stacking? Bad? Good? Or just stick to one chip or program? I dont think that you can stack tw chips. Any other chips that r as good as tw?
Cant stack two chips. And stacking dosen't do alot on the OBS powerstrokes. Tony can give you in one program what you can get by stacking other products.
I would suggest a 3 position chip from Tony. A high idle is nice for winter warm-ups and I also use it in the heat of the summer to make the a/c cool better while I wait in the parking lot as my wife shops! LOL
Then a good tow/economy program and a tow more program!!
Just My opinion.....hope it helps.
I'm new to the "OBS" (had a 99 PSD before) and this forum (frequented the 99-03 forum before), BTW, what does OBS mean? Anyway, the "concensus" on the GenII forum was that Jody probably offers the best chips for the GenII PSD - he's very popular on that forum. As those that responded to this post prefer "Tony" would you please point me to him? Also, is there a tuner available that also includes a code reader? One of the reasons people on the GenII forum might still choose a tuner over a chip was that the tuner often included a code reader.
BTW, thanks to all those whom have responded to my other posts so rapidly. I find that this forum is very much like the 99-03 forum - lots quick, correct, and usefull information not to mention just plain ol' good people.
