The circuit that has my interior dome light and the buzzer when you put your key in keeps blowing fuses in my 88 F250. I don't miss that annoying buzzer at all, but the dome light is very much missed. I even tried a higher amp fuse and it blows also. It doesn't do it immediately, it may work for a minute, it may work for a day. I'm sure there is a short or something is overloading the circuit (I hope it's that buzzer, away it goes!) but what is the best and easiest way to troubleshoot it? I have a good Fluke meter to test with. Or is there a place in this circuit that is prone to cause this issue?
Themicro ...
I was reading some old posts some time back and this subject popped up ... Seems that the installed dome light assembly is very very close to the inside of the metal roof ... If the roof is deformed slightly (like washing/waxing. etc.) the dome light shorts out.
Maybe ???????????????
