I'm not sure about the park Dan mentioned, but I do know that Micke Grove will shutdown in the evening, and does not allow overnighters..least what I have gathered on the sign going into it.
Well, hopefully there will be a place to camp overnight up there. I would rather drive up the night before, and get there early Sunday, then leave Sunday morning and spend 2 and half hours driving up there.
It is a great park. I went to a friend's receptions there. I will research to see if we need to make reservations to get a group area. There is a fee per car (er... I mean truck) to get into the park. Here is a link to the place

Reason: Missed Info
I'll be towing a travel trailer, so I would have to unload it at my camp spot before going to MGP. If anyone knows of a NICE place to camp, close by, that would be really great info.
Good News! I was able to finally talk to a live person at Micke Grove Park admin. The F100 Elite Show is scheduled for March 31, Saturday. I'm sorry that I mislead some people. I predicted it would be on the first of April, but it turns out that it actually on the Saturday before. They have reserved the Delta location in the park. The road through the park makes a large horse shoe. The Delta, if memory serves, is the last site after you make the big sweeping turn. I hope there is still enough time for everybody to attend. There will be at least 4 of us leaving Citrus Heights at 7:00am. Anyone wanting to meet up there and drive down as a group just let me know and I'll give you directions to the Carl's Jr we rendevous at. If not, then I will be putting a sign up at one of the picnic talbles and wearing my new FTE shirt so that people can meet up there. Jag
Ok, so Saturday instead of Sunday. I guess I will put in for that day off. Good thing I did not put in the paperwork asking for Sunday off yet. Don't have an FTE shirt yet, but I will figure out something. If you see a green and white '76 F250 driving around, looking lost, that will be me.
Might even have a camper on it by then, so I will try and get there Friday night and camp somewhere close to the park so I can get there early Saturday morning. this means my roommate will not be coming though as she will be attending a wedding on Saturday.
Yes, this is the real deal! I hope everybody can make it. There are games and raffles. The F100 Elites usually provide the charcoal for the BBQ pits, but just to be on the safe side, it would be nice if somebody picked up a bag. I will bring the hotdogs, polish dogs and the buns. If the show is as big as past years, there will be over 100 trucks and cars. It is usually the best show of the year. Jag
Looks like the Stockton Lodi RV Park (C on the map) is the closest one to the park. Called their number, and it is $34.95 a night to camp with an RV there. I may just get up early on Saturday, and drive up there.
Okay, that works for me. I was planning at this point to come down Sat. anyway and zip on down to Clint's to pick up the project truck, just figured I'd have it on the trailer behind the F250 at the meet. I guess I'll be at the meet with an empty trailer and go pick up the truck on Sunday instead. I'll post more later about my mad scheme in the Progress thread...
The club rents the entire area at Delta Site. There are multiple brick BBQs there. The club usually provides and starts the brickets. (That's a good thing, because I don't know anything about charcoal cooking) So, everybody just bring what you want to eat and drink. It is a State park so I'm not sure if beer is allowed. (Anybody know?) If you bring extra, you can share. The show is held under a very large covering with dozens of picnic tables. There are public restrooms within 100'. Also, for those who don't want to bring your own food, there is usually a vendor selling steak sandwiches or you can go to the zoo or amusement park for hot dogs/hamburgers. The event usually cumenates at about 2:00PM. I'm looking forward to seeing everybody there. John
The park opens at 8am, and I am planning on being there by 9am. I don't know what time the even starts, but I would be willing to bet they will be there as early as possible to start setting things up.
