Starter Heat Shield
I changed the starter on my '93 F150 5.0 and broke the heat shield that covers the solenoid. (I know, I know!) Is there a glue that will hold this thing back together or should I get another one? What would happen if I left it off?

the selenoid will burn up over time if you leave this alone. You can buy heat wrap for starters for a decent price if I remember right. Check a local auto parts store for epoxy's. If you don't find one that will handle the temp I'd go with the wrap.
