Last week I had just put 60/40 split seats from a ford ranger and new carpet in my "55", man it felt great the ride improved 100%. A few days ago i was out getting baby wipes and a guy pulled across three lane in front of he I locked the brakes and smashed into his rear side. Now I'm really pissed I get out of the truck to give him a good tongue lashing; and would you know it as soon as I was out a car came crashing into my rear!! "call the paremedics I'm about to pass out!" Luckly the lady wasn't injured but it probably totaled her car and my truck is a mess. So far one insurance has paid off for the front, the rear which is where the real damage is was suppose to view the truck today. I hope to get it all back together real soon.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 16-Aug-02 AT 11:05 PM (EST)]Sorry to hear about your crash. Seems as if most drivers are visually impaired these days.
Three weeks ago I was rear-ended trying to turn into my road. The kid that hit me said he didn't see my turn signal and I believe him - he was going so fast it probably only flashed a couple of times from when he could have seen it until impact.
Last evening I removed the bed boards on the '48 and found the frame has an interesting 'S' curve that wasn't there before. Looks like it'll need a trip to the body shop for straightening.
Like Kenny said - if no one was hurt, it's only sheet metal.
