I need to know where the center crash sensor is located on my 1995 F-150. I have located 2 small boxes bolted to the area just in front of the radiator but I am not sure these are the crash sensors. I am getting an air bag light trouble code 45 which is center crash sensor not mounted to vehicle properly. I need to know where to look and find out why the crash sensor has become unstable. The truck has never been in an accident.. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
Code 45 is left hand sensor not mounted roperly to rad support (just inbd of Left headlightbetween grille and radiator). If air bag monitor measures more than 2 ohms resistance to ground Code 45 will be set. Pink/light blue wire can have high resistance due to damaged wire bad ground, dirt corrosion at attachment etc. There is also an inline connector at dash bulkhead.
Be sure to diasconnect positive battey cable for at least one minute prior to disconnecting any components or disturbing any components.
