im in automechanics in highschool and i put my truck in the shop. well we tested the fuel injector lines for power and both sides of the plugs have power when one is supposed to be grounded at least that is what my teacher said i need help figuring why both sides of my plugs have power makin my fuel injecors get 12volts of power
Unplug all of the fuel injectors before testing them. With the engine off, there will be 12V on all the wire from where the injectors get their power feed all the way to the injector control pins at the computer when the injector is plugged in because it completes the circuit. Resistance doesn't reduce voltage if there is no current. The only time they won't show 12V at the computer is for the moment that the circuit is grounded (again when the injectors are plugged in).

If the key is on and the engine is not running than you will have 12V on both sides of the injectors. The computer grounds one side to fire the injector.
This is just rewording what EPNCSU2006 said and he was correct.
