Ebpv Thread Tally

I wonder how many threads on the high idle and ebpv valve we will see this season? Not to knock the new guy or the new owner of a pds but it seems like everytime we get into cold weather those posts come out of the woodwork. We should keep a running tally, and the members should take a guess on how many we will have after one month. Maybe fte would put up some sort of prise for the winner.(Like a new 08 6.4)

Probably quite a few. Just last year is when my EBPV started acting up. Previous years there was no problem. Of course it's unplugged now, so I won't have to be one of "those guys" who starts another thread about it.

I unplugged mine before even reading about it on here, wasn't that bad with stock exhaust but stick a straight pipe on and it was annoying as all get out. Reason I unplugged it.

I'm casting my absentee ballot, I am selecting in advance for no EBPV problems.

Do you get a code or SES light from unplugging it?

It can set a soft code, but it won't illuminate the MIL.

I don't think it's necessary. Like I said it throws a soft code, so you won't even know it unless you pull a diagnostic. If you just don't like the idea of having a code stored in the ECU, then you can install the pigtail.
