third brake light/bed light

On my 05 F-150 when I open the door and get out, the white lens of the third brake light stay on for a minute or two, which I like, especially in the dark. Is there a switch or any way I can turn that light on without opening the door? I was wondering if it was a bed light or not? Thanks for your help!

yes, it's your cabin dome light dimmer switch.....it's all connected..

If you roll the thumb wheel up next to the headlight switch it will turn on the cargo light and the interior lights

And finally, no, you cannot turn on just the bed light. You'd have to do some of your own wiring to create a switch, etc. The trucks back in the day had this feature ... it has died (unfortunately).
