Air Bag Error Code on Repaired F150 ?s
Posting for a friend.
Has a 04 F150 2 door flareside truck.
Was in a wreck over a month ago. Vehicle is ready, but keeps giving error code about air bag on passenger side so they will not release.
Part # is 4L32-14B321-A that is the issue. I do not know what it does. This is the part that comes up as the book calls for.
They threw away the old part while repairing so cannot confirm its number.
They have a 4L3A-14B321-DK in there now that gives error code.
For some reason they have ordered the same number part but suffix -DJ from a parts yard, and think it will fix the problem.
They have replaced the key switch to the air bag with a new one.
And they have checked the wiring harness .
I asked for the actual error code from my friend but they did not give it to him.
Any input is welcome. Might speed along his getting the truck back.

really need a code to help with one, may be it is not a passenger air bag code, but a passenger SIDE air bag code, one of the ones in the seat or in the headliner, even though the truck may not have them it will still have the wiring and a shorting bar to send a resistance back to the moduel to make it think they are there.
