Going for a 12's Run

I am finally going to get to take the old truck back to the track, so wish me some luck. As long as it doesn't ran Saturday and I don't break anything, I am going to try and get in the 12's. Last time I was real close. I have made gear change and worked on the carb. a little to help flow better. So we shall see....

Boy thats one thing I do miss being east of the Mississippi..is the tracks running all year round!! and the stinkin 1/8 mile tracks.. I guess there ok once you get use to em..

One thing I can say is..If you do set your car or truck up for an 1/8 mile track..it'll RIP your lips off!! LOL..Set-up 1/8 mile cars run freakin hard...but to me its like drag racing up my driveway!!lol...

Good Luck and keep us Posted!!!

RJ..

I am going to try and get a video. See if my wife can work the camera correctly. but I just hoping for it, I know I am close. As long at it hooks up it should do it, but thanks for the luck. I will need it!!!

Temple or San Antonio?

give me a head up when you're going in the future, maybe I can join and bring the camera. Life kinda got real complicated for me and i could use some track-time to give me some simpler complications :-)

I tinkered on my truck today, and it seems to be running better. I'll be up for a track run soon. I still need to install the shift kit and step another 50hp on the NOS and we might be running side by side.

well, without saying too much, i think I enjoyed one **** too many. And, now the girlfriend has gone crazy and doesn't want me around. This place really blows.

but the truck is running well. I changed over to a 160 thermostat and I'll be damed if the truck doesn't run cooler....a lot cooler. Based on some discussion I seen in here, I really didn't expect much of a change with a different thermostat. I think now i can actually drive the truck in teh summer and maybe even pull the boat.

Well Greg I have learned that most woman are nothing but problems in the future anyways. I am just lucky I guess that i found one to put up with all my crap and hard headness!!! With saying that I was planing on going to the track Saturday but my friend that is going out thier with me saw that thier is a 60% chance of rain in Holland/Acadmey on Saturday so it has been changed to Friday TOMMORROW!! So I still had to put the slicks on , pull the exhaust off oh clean the windshield and get everything together Tonight. And on top of it the trailer I borrowed had two wires that were wrong so when I turned on my blinkers all the lights blinked. But I got it all done and almost ready to go. Greg I am going out to Temple and I sure would like to get with you one weekend when we can go run together. It an't offen you see to FEs at the track especially racing. If nothing breaks or goes wrong probably will make another trip in December. The 50 degree weather tommorrow should help with making some good power!!!
