I just thought I would share some pictures of my project I have going on..
This is my MII front end I installed.. It is a heidt's kit with 11 inch rotor's and oversized GM calipers.
In order to get the rear end to ride at the same heigth as the front I flipped the rear axle and removed some leaf springs.. Here is the pictures of that with the C-notches made, note. I intend to remove the extended part you see sticking out and clean up the welds before i have the frame cleaned and powdercoated:
ignore the dirt/dust/crap my garage is a bit dirty right now..
this is a picture of the plate I made for the steering column.
Column mounted.. That is a 23 inch Lokar Shifter in the background
I offset the column one inch to the left so it would feel a bit better with bucket seats(if i chose to put some in)..thats a 3 inch polished column drop from Flaming River.. Oh yeah, the colum/wheel and drop are all from Flaming River.
Here you can see the hanging brake pedal assembly/end of the brake booster.. I have a lot of holes to fill on my firewall.. left for another day.
Wow, very nice progress pics, you've been a busy man. My firewall loked like that also...swiss cheese. I spent several days filling everything and smoothing it up.
Mine was so cut up I just cut the side panels right out and filled them with flat plates. We still ended up filling >25 holes in the rest of the firewall.
Great pix! Thanks for sharing. you are prob inspiring dozens to catch up to your progress. That is a good tip on moving the steering column over 1" for better fitment. Jag
