GP relay question

I had previously disconnected my glow plug relay and installed a push button switch to prehear. My question is, can I hook upthe wire to the relay and also have the push button hooked up as a back up without damaging any components?

1989 7.3. I don't need to keep the switch hooked up but, since I did all the work to put it in I wanted to keep it

Since the controller is solid state I don't think I would hook the switch up.
It may do nothing, but if it toasts the controller it is rather expensive to replace.
