bumper interchange?
What years can I swap the front bumper from? What I mean is will an 87 bumper fit a 97? The reason I ask is I have a grill guard from a 89 that I want to put on a 96.

Grille guards generally bolt onto the front of the bumper, with holes that you drill. Just a matter of centering it, drilling the holes, and using washers as spacers to get it to be verticle should it not be by default.
The 91-earlier bumper is more squarish, and the 92-96 bumper is slightly curved, but I don't think enough that two or four washers couldn't make your grille guard look good.
