Does anybody know where I can locate a set of front bumper brackets for the front bumper. Of what I have seen most bumper attach directly to the frame.

...I'm confused.
Is what you're looking for intended for an F250 Highboy or something? IIRC, only a couple of applications used front bumper brackets whereas the majority of models are directly bolted to the frame.
Yeah, the bumper brackets are only used on trucks with leaf springs on the front ("highboys"). This is so the bumper will clear the springs. All other trucks the bumper bolts directly to the frame horns.
'just got back from the JY and saw a pair of 'em on a '79 2WD F350 Camper Special. The bummer was that they were riveted to the frame ... big honkin' rivets.
But I did scavenge its 1.125-inch front sway bar and frame brackets.
I ground out about 80 or so rivets on the build I'm doing now. I used a 7" grinder to knock the head off, then a baby sledge and large punch to drive them through. It took about 3 minutes each for the rivets.

Yowza. Been there, done that when I was installing the RA drop brackets on my Dent! But The JY I go to only lets ya bring only battery powered tools and I don't have a cordless grinder or recip saw - not yet at least. I may have to get a cordless recip to excise a roof for my bumpside.
The brackets come on more than just Highboys as evidenced by the 2WD F350 I encountered today. It also had big ol' brush guard (ala Duke Boys-style). That ****** was heavy... 1/4-inch endplates and likely the same thickness crosstubes. I pondered getting it but my Dent already has one... And I wanna get a winch in the near future.
