'97 Explorer, odd idle sometimes

'97 Explorer, odd idle sometimes
First off, its a 97 XLT with 4.0 OHV. Sometimes when I've gone to start it, it starts, but the idle is very very low, just under 500 rpm. You can give it gas, it rev's up but it returns to a very low idle. If you stomp on the gas quickly it stalls out. After a few starts it will start up with the correct idle...It started doing it in the summer (hot days) thinking it was too hot out, but it did it last week and its around 0, 32 farenheit. It randomly happens, but not very often. Not tossing any codes either.
