2000 ford excursion headlights
I have a 2000 excursion why are the headlights so bad on these big trucks i can hardly see anything and ive replaced the bulbs anyone change the headlight unit with the clear type??

My 2000 seems to have just average lighting after I put a set of silverstars in it. I was a little disappointed with the "upgrade".
One of my previous bulbs had exploded in the housing. I had no luck removing the clips that allow the housing to come out so I could shake out the glass shards. The clips are really weird. Anybody know if there is a special tool to remove those clips?

i have a friend with an excursion who put in 80/100 bulbs. They make a decent difference in performance. He also put in an aftermarket wiring harness from painless because I convinced him that running the extra wattage through the stock circuit was a little risky, and possibly limited the power to the lights (ie long wire runs)
not to mentinon, because the bulbs go in to the stock headlight housings and don't say their wattage anywhere on the bulb, they are hard to detect.

i had the same problem, so i decide to change them to the clear,also i spent the $$ and added H.I.D lights and now i see for days, plus the blue color makes the truck look so much better st night

Mine has good brightness but when I get on the side roads up by the cabin and turn on the brights, there is hardly a difference.
