swap steering wheel with explorer
my aunt had an explorer with raidio, climate, cruise, etc on the steering wheel. is it possible to swap our wheel out with one with all of the controls?
hers had ?EATC? (auto climate control) so that won't work, but is it a plug and play kind of swap? i want radio controls on the wheel.
now that i'm thinking about it, is it possible to swap out the climate control too?

It has been done, so yes it's possible, as long as your Ford radio HU is "remote compatible". Not all of them are. You must also have on hand the clockspring assembly and harness from the Explorer because of the need for the additional wires that control the radio remote function (and EATC remote function, as the case may be). Here's an example of someone who did the steering wheel swap AND swapped in an Explorer EATC unit:
