thats funny, they say "4x4 against 4x4...thats a fair fight"...
how do they figure that...the Ford was a open dif extended cab against a 4 door 4x4 chevy silverado...hardly fair (4x4 chevy come stock with the LS axle)
just based on pure numbers with equally matched trucks, the Chevy still would have won because of his extra weight.
The chevy had a locking diff. and the ford didn't. Plus, if you watch closly you see the ford tug before the chevy takes off. The chevy had his brakes on while the ford pulled tight and started spinning his drive wheel. Then the chevy took off pulling the ford on its already spinning tire that has no traction at all. It could have pulled a powerstroke the way it was set up.

Just another dumb chevy advertisement. I also noticed the open diff Ford. Who wants to bet the chevy had the 4 wheel engaged also. not to mention that the Fords tire was already spinning and had no traction as previously stated. Gotta love chevy commercials. My favorite was the original one where the vehicles were driven onto the moving car carrier. Had to look to see, but the truck was a Freightliner, which is owned by daimlerchrysler. Somebody got a smack for that. Then they got a Kenworth or Pete, I forget which it was.
I hate GM vehicles. I swear they did it just to tick me off. I helped my sister put a aftermarket radio in her Celebrity (this was before a bike hit it a totaled it) You had to take the whole dash off just to get the radio out. Then don't get me started on GM door handles. I've seen alot of slandering of Ford's tail gate design but at least I can still drive it with the tail gate off. The latches themselves always seems to get stuck and not allow the door to close. The only solution was a long screw driver. Then they have that 4X4 system that goes out at the most inopertune times. I better quit before I get started more.
What is with the windshield washer hose in the wipers; it takes five minutes with the wipers on to get rid of all the water that continues to spray on the windshield, and by that time, the residue has left streaks that you have to wash off again. And the cruise control/signal lever is ridiculous. And they smell bad.
Another they did just to tick me off is those 16 inch wheels. Everbody else did 15 but they just had to have 16. Ever priced a 16 inch tire lately? Same Make, Model. The 15 inch they want $90/ea. The 16 inch they want $129/ea.
