2001 7.3 E-350 Intake
Hi all. I have a 2001 E-350 with a 7.3 PowerStroke. My mechanic recently has performed some minor repairs and noticed that the air cleaner assembly bottom is gone. He has ordered an OE replacement for it and is ready to install it. I have told him to hold up for now, because if I'm going to pay over $200 for it, I would like to install an aftermarket high performance unit. Does anyone know where I can get an intake for my vehicle. I've spoken to a lady with AFE and she said that thier part #54-10061 will work. To me it just does look like it will work. Any help would be appreciated.

I know a lot of kids out here in CA cut the bottoms out of the air boxes as a cheap way to get more air to the motor without alerting the smog man.
