I have a 05 6.0 and just installed a Banks Six Gun Bundle with the Power PDA.
On paper I should be @ round 455hp. But I have'nt had it dyno'd. I live in the SF bay area CA and would like to find a dyno shop just to see what Im really pushin. I do love it though, it gets up and moves! I'll post some numbers when I get them.

WHAT??? Oh wow. That is dissapointing. Why is that? It sure feels like more than that. Man, my goal is to hit 500hp. Should I get some nitrous or propane? Cold air intake? From what you posted Im not even to 400hp yet. What a downer that is....... Any ideas on how I can at least push 400-450hp??????? HELP PLEASE, IM POWER HUNGRY! $$$ is no object here! Hee Hee......
Thanks alot for any info ya have........

When you begin to modify past 35-40psi, you begin to stretch the headbolts. They "float" the cylinder head over top of the headgasket, and they can easily blow a headgasket with all of that pressure pushing out on them. To make it even worse, the 6.0 only has 4 head bolts per cylinder, which is less than most other trucks which have 6 bolts per cylinder. Head studs will prevent the head from lifting off. Also you will be exceeding the stock turbocharger's limits very soon with injectors, so look at a programming upgrade (dp-tuner), and an ATS Aurora 3000 turbocharger. That and injectors, you're damn close to 500hp/1000tq if you aren't already there. Nitrous or water/methanol injection will also help. Oh, and with that much HP, don't expect the stock transmission to even hold up. Full Suncoast build or likewise will happen.

Nothing more than injectors and a GOOD custom tune will land you 490+ horsepower. npccpartsman turned 444 horsepower as said in the original post with stock injectors and a stock turbocharger, no giggle gas and no propane.
The stock transmission will hold up at that level for a pretty good while (if you don't abuse it and whoever tunes it knows what they are doing). Your heads may or may not hold at that level, the main key is to make sure the heads are resurfaced and FLAT. A trued and flat head with stock bolts will hold better than a warped head with head studs (I've found this out the hard way) so whatever fastener and gasket combination you choose, resurface the head...I have not had a resurfaced one fail a gasket to this day.
As a side note, if you want a FAST truck, put that torque number out of your head. High end, up top powerband will get you down the road and the track quicker than all the hyped-up off-idle crap some people like to preach about. Extend the redline, push the powerband OUT as far as you can without having it fall on its face, and you will be passing all the so-called "torque monsters" as soon as you get out of the hole and spooled up.
