So it looks like when I come back to sask I have a 74 half ton lariat waiting for me. It has a 460 in it, and the body is in rough shape, but sounds like it has a pretty cool drivetrain! I found it in the autotrader. Now all I have to do is find something to put the drivetrain into

How about my 56 M100? I`d love a 460 in it, may settle for a 302/351 though.
I didn`t think that a 460 was available till 1975.....
Hey Fom, if you need a 302, there's one in that 79 I picked up. Needs a rebuild. Come to think of it, the only parts are really want off that 79 are the grille and front bumper.
The only other thing I was thinking of taking was the power steering out and putting it in the 69, I've never done that though and I'm not exactly sure what all is involved.
Hey plscotts, You should send me a pm about your 79, the rust factor on it, how much you may want for the body after you take the parts you want off of it.
Thanks for the offer, I may need to take you up on the 302. If you need any parts for the 79 I have a parts truck sitting here.
Do a search in the 67/72 forum for the power steering swap, there is alot of info on this as it`s a very popular and easy to do. One thing to watch for is the power steeering gear box can be a different length from the manual one requiring a shorter column. Also there is different fan belt which threw me for a loop till I found out. Other than that it`s a matter of bolting everything.
The previous owner did this on my 69 and it`s great to have ps. My 71 F350 doesn`t have ps and it`s abit hard to steer at times.
