53-56 frames vs 57-60 frames

Can anyone tell me if there are significant differences between the frames of these models? In other words, will a 56 cab and fenders fit easily on a 57 through 60 frame? Also, are there any VIN numbers stamped on the frames or is the plate on the door the only ID.

53-56 frames vs 57-60 frames

don't know about the 53-56, but my 57 has what is called a secondary vin on the right front frame rail, and also on the door plate.
