The old slippery slope......
Anyway, every year, my wife and I drop off the kids at the grandparents house in NE TN and go to Asheville, NC to hang out for a few days without the kids.
Hmmm.....as I remember, Jody Tipton is in Asheville......
Anyway, as I understand it, it would not be a great idea to match up the stock 4R100 with a DP-tuned 7.3.
So, my question is.....In the interests of budgetary constraints, would getting a new valve body from BTS or another respected manufacturer buy me enough latitude with the tranny to allow me to do something interesting with a tuner?
I don't forsee myself coming up with enough cash for a completely re-worked trans, so I'm trying to find a reasonable way to do some upgrades...
Thanks
I'd like just maybe a couple settings that would bump up my hp a bit and my torque 150 ft/lb or so....
That ought to tame that travel trailer....
I don't pull sleds or race or anything... just some extra 'oomph' for towing would be good.
Guess I should give them a call and see if their tranny adjustments would be sufficient.
BTW, I definately recommend seeing him personally. I'm glad I did.

When you feel what the truck does even with a 40, or 60 whatever tune, you will never want to drive it in the stock setting again. Mark my words. My truck is a dog on the stock setting now, I just never knew it before. I do have a TS chip but I also have that stupid diode in the tranny and just tear it up whenever I feel like it. The program will change the tranny shift profile as well.Ahhh, the PMS is alive and well.
