Talking Back from Asheville, DP-TUNER

I had Jody install my F5 chip on Sat. and words can't explain how happy I am with the performance of my truck. I was expecting some more HP, but I had no idea the truck would run this good. As many of you know, Jody's tunes are the best hands down. I have ridin in other trucks that have so call tuned or chipped and let me say they don't hold a candle to Jody's. You will get a kick out of this story. I had not gotten a mile from Jody's and a rice burning import pulls up beside me and starts reving that weed eater for motor. I look over and can tell that Juan and Jose want a piece. Mistake number 1. Well I gave them some. I turned the F5 to 120 race and waited for the light. The truck barked the tires as I nailed the pedal. Oh I forgot to say. He was on my passenger side with his windows down. Mistake number 2. As I gotten about 100 ft. I looked to the right and no import. I then looked in the rear veiw mirror and there they were. I had smoked him, literally. I don't know if he let up from being spanked or smoked, but either way. They were not happy campers at the next red light. The insided of the car had just looked like a fire works show had just ended. Needless to say I was dying from laughter. This is a little of the subject, but Jody used my truck to create the lope idle tune for stock injectors. He had the lope idle tune for bigger injectors, but mine was the first for the stockers. He used the 120hp tune to create the lope idle. So you can still drive the truck when you get. It is one way cool tune. The truck sounds as if I have a huge cam, but a different sound than the gas motors. My truck shakes just like a dragster now.

Juan and Jose? Did you introduce yourself first or something?

Gotta love racial stereotypes!

No. It was the typical red with a wierd purple something down the side of it. Oh, by the way the smoke tune is 140hp with a ton of fuel on the bottom end. Watch those EGT's they climb in a hurry on smoke. I did not get a lot of smoke like I thought I would. I don't think I have the injectors nor the HPOP to produce a lot of smoke. I will have to play with it some to get the max out of it. I get a quit a bit of smoke from the 120 when I get on hard enough.

That's a funny story. Another satisfied customer. Jody's a great guy too. Did you have Jody do some live tuning while you were there? Makes me wish I lived closer to NC.

Smoke out of stock injectors is going to be hard to do. They just don't hardly flow enough fuel to make a big cloud.

No I didn't. I didn't have the money yet, but it will defiantly be on the list, if and when I go to biggers injectors, dual HPOP, and larger turbo. Thats way down the line right now for me. I need to do some lots of other mods first and stop the steady stream of green out of my wallet for a while.
