Its been two years

Yesterday marked two years since Joey passed away. We went out to the grave site to lay flowers at the grave. It won't be any easier and the fact that we miss him so will never get any better. You measure what is done by what he liked or what he would have done. Any little thing can send you back to when he was here. I find myself spending time with the young people in the neighborhood and our church. I had two young people working with me this summer and what a joy they were to be with and to teach and share the trade with. Tonight I started out with two young men that go to our local Tech. college and they will be working with me for the next few months to get my projects out. I find them to be willing to work and the one is in Auto body and wants to learn Upholstry. I think I can handle that. They helped me start to dismantle the 89 T-bird this evening. That was Joey's car and I will be putting the running gear in the 50 Panel Truck. It is exciting to know that what was once his will be transformed into part of my dream machine.
Thanks for your patience with this emotional old man this evening. Thanks for your time and help in the past years.

Well im sorry to hear about what happened i bet it is hard to lose someone like that just try to look on the bright side (easier said than done) and move on which is good to hear that you are doing just that and starting to spend more time with younger people and at the church..

My thoughts and prayers still go out for you. I believe I was a newbie on this site when you suffered your loss. Its never easy and if and when that time comes, I sure hope I can do 1/2 of what you have done to continue. I think you've had good therapy with the kids and church. As you embark on this new project, remember the good times and this could be a tribute to Joey. Good Luck and God Bless
