Smokeing when started ?
Hi i have an 1995 psd when i start my truck in the morning and sometimes when its just been sitting for awile it has a puff of white smoke and then a small amount of smoke countiunes coming out for about 10 seconds then ends is this normal ?

Ive got brand new glow plugs and relay and mine smokes white for a couple minutes on the first start of the day. Mind you now its getting to be way below freezing over night here, and it didnt really smoke at all when starting for the first time of the day during summer.

Same here when its cold you get a little smoke, nothing on warmer mornings...make sure you check your oil a little more often in the winter months. It seems like that's the only time I have to top it off with a quart or so.
