With the flowmaster i had singe 2.5 into dual 2.5 custom. The reason these trucks dont like the flowmasters is because they are chambered, slowing down the exhaust as it passes through. The magnaflow is a straight through design, not causing any restrictions. Backpressure used to be the key, but from all the testing and research I have done, its Exhaust Gas Velocity that the new body F150s need. Right now I am running true dual 2.5 inch pips with a magnaflow, and its MUCH improved over any other system I've used.

Im not sure what just a muffler swap with a flowmaster would do, performance wise. If youre just looking for sound, it should be fine, but if you want performance and sound, I would find a small case magnaflow muffler.

Also, MOST magnaflow mufflers are stainless steel. They arent all polished, but they are all stainless, where as most flowmasters are not. This is not a big deal to most people, but its another factor to consider.

Bassani is one of the more expensive kits out there.

Here is a list of the cat back systems Bassani has to offer.

Talking

I didn't have a big increase in power but a noticable one. Also a noticable increase in mpg. I prefer flowmaster. I give it a perfect 10 for sound. I have a 50 but I like it loud and is a little quiet for me. Mostly a low rpms.

This is true. I didnt check your pricing out, but this was the fact when I purchased mine. Their quality is top notch. What sets them apart at materials used. Obviously they are 100% American made (which if you have read my signature.... is a big deal). The key point is their construction. Even on their "low end" aluminized kits, they use all stainless steel inner construction. It is the best of both worlds for the value minded performance buyer. They are known for their full stainless steel kits, and have only started making aluminized kits to compete with everyone else in the last year or two. No matter which system you buy, they are both high quality units! I recommed them 100% to anyone.
