Stock muffler...

I have an 05' STX with the 4.6L V8 and am looking to change out the stock muffler to a Magnaflow. I need to know what muffler to order to keep the stock pipe size. I want a 24" SI/SO muffler.

Anyone that can help with the stock size of the pipes?
Anyone that can tell me what muffler to order?

Correct me if im wrong but the stock pipe size for your truck is 2.5in... now as long as you get a universal magnaflow you should be able to weld it on just fine... as for the muffler... magnaflows are all 1 chamber systems... with your truck it depends on what your looking for... if you want a louder sound go with a short body magnaflow... if not try to find somthing longer

I dont know if you are wrong or not....thats my dillema. I was orginally told on this site about a month ago that the stock size is 2.25 but was told today that it is 2.5. Cant find it anywhere, I guess I can try to measure.

Crawl under your truck with a cloth sewing tape measure. Measure the circumference of your pipe. Divide that by 3.14 and you will have the diameter of your pipe.
