56 Disc Conversion

I have just had a 56 arrive and am after some dimensions for the caliper mount for a disc brake conversion. Can any one help

Sorry,
I took the 'easy' ?? way out and purchased a kit. I did not measure before installing them...

Have seen just the brackets for sale.... uses GM calipers...

the complete kits have the hubs, bearing spacers, etc.......

Check out Ebay auction #300037525807 for a bolt on disk brake kit for a 48-56 from CPP...

Can I have your old drum brakes?

They make a huge upgrade from Henry's old Mechanical Break system on 20's-30's fords.

I purchased the CPP kit like GreatNorthwoods stated. The brackets are laser cut and everything is there to complete the kit. Even includes the calibers, etc. You can make your own but why? Check with CPP, they'll give you the dimensions or even sell you a bracket only.

Voneville, wished I known you were looking for a set. I just threw mine away because they were taking space.

I've got the ECI kit, but no measurements for it. Came with the plate to mount the mustang master cylinder as well. Two pieces of 3/8" (?) welded together with four holes in it. Knowing where to put the holes is where the money comes in to play.
If you have the existing mounting points and the caliper you want to use, take a few measurements and get to cuttin. If I trusted my welding I would have tried it that way.

I'm hanging on to my drums in hopes that I can put them on a model A someday. Or hock em on fleabay.
