I've read the posts about the door lock regulators and am definitely experiencing that in 2 out of 5 doors. But my windows seem weak and slow too? Do the window regulators have "known" problems also? I've tried searching the forum but only find info on the locks.
Are you referring to the front and the slow down in the down movement. I have that on one window, I was instructed to lube the tracks.. I tried it, made a mess and not that effective.. I am going to try to remove the interior panel and lube it that way.
they all seem slow to me. the fronts worse then the back, especially the drivers window. It seems to be getting worse, I had to help it down the other day. I didn't try going back and forth on the rocker switch to see if it would fade out like the locks do. I'll try that in a little while.
The window motors are pretty well built and last a good long time (not saying that they won't fail), but my first guess would be that it needs a good cleaning and some fresh lube. When it is going down, is there any noise? Squeeking or Grinding?
Use a dry lubricant like teflon if you do lube the tracks. Petrolium lubricants can cause the material in the tracks to swell and make the problem even worse.
