Does the same holf true for an 88 model as well? I have had several different answers. And if the connectors are in my truck for it I can't find them. Where are they?
I added power windows/locks to a 85 F150. The wiring is a separate harness that installs under the dash pad with one wire to the fuse block. The connecters are behind the kick panels on each side. The hardest part on my truck was adding the wiring harness holes in the cab/doors some trucks already have these holes. The motors should be the same 80-96. My 94 was prewired to the doors I dont know about 88.
I may just for kicks dive off into my doors tomorrow just to see if the wires are indeed already inside the door. Hmmm, that would be soo nice. (no more having to crawl across the inside of the truck to unlock the door or roll up/down the window!)
I am not sure, but I know the speaker wires go through that goofy looking rubber tubing between my door jamb and the door. I haven't really looked at the tubing, but I have searched that truck all over for the wiring! I do know that I could add the extra front tank if I ever want to! I have my CB power run into the fuse box into that location and it's getting juice.

They're not. But they're easy to find in junkyards, and you don't have to put the dash wires where the factory did - just across the bottom of the dash is good enough.
