Alright so I've been having problems with my passenger window having trouble going down. It'd go about 3/4 the way and slow down and sometimes stop.
Well today I took my door lock actuators apart to repair the motors as the resistor burn up. Well to do this it requires you remove the bottom half of the window tract and push it out the way. After reassembly of everything both windows are not working. They will open approx 3 inches and stop almost like they're bound up?
Im stumped, the motors are working. I lubed all tracks of the regulator as well as the window tract itself. Any ideas?
Fix it yet? I would loosen the glass and slide it up and down to be sure it is not bound up. Then hold it up or remove it then run the regulator up and down to see what is causing your trouble.
Nah I ain't fixed it yet. Thing that kills me is they worked fine before I removed the bottom of the window track. But now that I put it back together its giving issues
I was just wondering if you happened to fiqure anything out on your window problem. I am having the exact same problem have just been dealing with it, and thought I would do a search and see what I could find and this post came up.
Speedrebel, figured anything out with your windows? Mine are also doing the same thing. Just wondered if you found anything before I tear my doors apart.
has anyone found a fix I replaced the power door lock actuators and now the window will just go down a little and it stops checked the motor and it is working fine, any one have any thoughts.
When I replaced my door lock actuators I didn't have to take anything off the windows.I'm quessing you put the window or lock linkage together wrong thats why its binding up. My driverside window goes down 3/4 of the way and stops when cold. I think it needs a new power window motor.I'd take the door panel off and hook up just the switches and watch as the window moves to see whats going on inside the door. You should be able to see whats happening.
