I need to find more details about this. It'll fit but I need to search out performance specs. One won't be enough but it looks like I can easily fit one under both the powered driver and the passenger seat.
If this is the only space left under the seat you are going to need to look at the Xmax (excursion) of the sub. You don't want to go to all that work of creating a box, only to find out that when the sub plays it hits against the seat bottom/truck floor and sounds like crap.

Crutchfield sell that JVC and have some spec's on it (along with some reviews) ......... JVC Detail
They also have a Kenwood that is similar, bit more expensive, but a little louder too and has more (and better reviews) Kenwood Detail
I think they did a comparison of the Kenwood and the Infinity Basslink and the Kenwood did surprisingly well for what it is.
I had a guy bring me his extended cab today to look at. I am thinking about rebuilding his rear seat to make enclosures for the subwoofers out of them. He's having the interior redone anyways with the soft leather. I did this years ago with a 97 F250 and turned out nicely. Little harder of a seat to sit on but he doesn't plan on many people riding in the back anyways. (so he says....now)
Just so you know, with that powered sub, your spending $130 on a 6" subwoofer, and 120 watt peak amplifier... You can get a 120watt amplifier for $35. Ebay LA120, should bring up a legacy amplifier... I'm not sure it's bridgable, but it should be...
Now, figuring in $20 for an enclosier, you've got $75 for a sub
If you're just looking to add a very small amount of bass, that's a good option... but if you're looking for adding any decent bass, then a 6" sub will NOT cut it...
It just doesnt have the cone area of a 8" or 10"
Doing some "very" quick math, it's only got about 19" of displacement... A 8" has about 25", and a 10 has about 32".
A 6" would need to have about a third more xmax then a 8" to get the same frequencys... And, 3/4 times more xmax as a 10"...
I think.
I've never heard one personally, but you might want to check out "tangband" brand speakers... U can get them at www.partsexpress.com
Good luck with your project, sounds like alot of fun

A huge amount of bass isn't my concern. I don't listen to rap... at all. Fake drums with lower frequencies than the real thing just aren't my bag. I do, however, like to listen to Rush's Neil go into a drum solo. Practically anything is going to be better than the stock system.
