jack for bronco

Hi all. Got a question. What type of jack does ford supply with the full size bronco? Mine does not have one.
I have a scissor jack from my plymouth voyager van. Will that be strong enough to lift one side of an axle to change a tire on my 85 full size bronco?
Thanks.
Bill

The Bronco's came with a bottle jack. If I were you I would save my money and buy a small floor jack it's a lot more stable than the bottle jack, it will cost you about $30.00 mine is a Craftman 2 1/2 ton jack comes in a nice carrying case, I keep it locked up in the back of the Bronco.

I still have mine in the stock location, but I keep a small floor jack. With stock tires it probly isent that bad, but when you go up in tire size that little bottle jack gets smaller.

A 2 ton floor jack would not lift Bronco when both front wheel dropped in holes. The tires were spinning in the breeze. Firewood stacked under stock jack and tires and shovel got it out. Floor jack would be preferred if it is big enough. Take some blocks along.

he said to change a tire, not get you out of a hole. Almost no bottle jack is going to get you out of a good stuck on it own because it only have the potential of going 2 times as tall as it started.

Best way to jack up a truck from a hole is a pin jack. We used them all the time when we got stuck. Install a metal or wood sheet on the bottom and it's good to go. Thats the best way to get out of a hole.
